Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

PA School Survival is an educational study tool that turns lecture materials you upload into flashcards, practice questions, quizzes, and other study aids, and provides related study features. We offer a free tier and paid subscription plans, described under “Plans, billing, and cancellation.” The free tier is provided at our discretion: its features, content, and usage limits may change, be reduced, or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice.

Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a single-use 6-digit code to enter (the email also carries a fallback sign-in link). You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.

You retain ownership of the materials you upload and the notes and study data you create (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including sending it to our AI provider to generate study materials.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content and that doing so does not violate the rights of any third party. Do not upload materials you are not permitted to use, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or that contains another person's confidential or protected health information.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or to other users' data.
• Resell or redistribute the Service or its content without our permission.
• Circumvent usage limits, quotas, or access controls.

Study materials are generated by AI from your uploads, and the Service's built-in clinical content is AI-authored. This content may be incomplete or inaccurate and is provided for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and must not be relied upon for diagnosis or treatment. Always verify against current primary sources and your faculty before any clinical use. PA School Survival is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the NCCPA. PANCE is a registered trademark of the NCCPA.

We offer a free tier and paid subscription plans. The following terms apply to paid plans:

• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, monthly) through our payment processor, Stripe, at the price shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid access until then.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and partial billing periods are not prorated.
• We may change plan features or pricing on a going-forward basis, with notice before the change applies to your next renewal.

Current plan prices and allowances are shown at checkout and on our pricing page. The free tier carries no charge and may be modified or discontinued as described above.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we may set or change usage limits. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for loss of data; please keep your own copies of important materials.

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY AI-GENERATED OR CLINICAL CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, INCLUDING EXAM PREPARATION OR CLINICAL DECISIONS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PA SCHOOL SURVIVAL AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PA School Survival and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm or legal liability. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be communicated through the Service. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
