About & editorial standards

Who runs this site, how the content is produced and corrected, and how it's funded — in plain language.

What this site is

PA School Survival is a study companion for physician assistant students in their didactic year. It has two halves: a free High-Yield reference52 disease profiles, 121 drug profiles, and anatomy, organized by the NCCPA PANCE Content Blueprint (effective January 2025) — and an AI study tool that turns a student's own lecture PDFs into flashcards, board-style questions, and quizzes, filed to the same blueprint.

How the content is made

The reference content is AI-authored and clearly flagged as such throughout the site. It is deliberately notecard-dense — the highest-yield fact, not textbook prose — and every entry maps to a PANCE body system. Drug profiles link to official FDA labeling (DailyMed). Study kits are AI-generated from the student's own uploaded slides. None of it is faculty-reviewed, and none of it is medical advice: it is a study aid, and students should verify anything they rely on against current primary sources and their faculty.

Corrections

Every disease and drug profile carries a “Report an error” button. Reports go straight to the site operator, are reviewed against primary sources, and corrections ship to the live site — the content is code-published, so a fix deploys the same way a feature does. You can also email support@paschoolsurvival.com.

Funding & independence

The site is independently built and funded. The reference is free to read with no account; revenue comes from one place — the optional Pro subscription that raises the usage limits on the AI study tool. There are no ads, no sponsorships, no affiliate links, and no sale of user data. No third party has any influence over the content.

Independence from the NCCPA

PANCE® is a registered trademark of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). PA School Survival is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the NCCPA. Blueprint weights are study aids, re-verified against the official blueprint each exam cycle.
