- Inhibits ACE → ↓ angiotensin II → vasodilation, ↓ aldosterone, ↓ afterload/preload.
- Black Box Warning
- Fetal toxicity — discontinue as soon as pregnancy is detected.
- Clinical Notes
- Dry cough (bradykinin) & angioedema are class effects. Watch K⁺ and creatinine.
