- Inhibits thyroid peroxidase → blocks thyroid hormone synthesis.
- Clinical Notes
- First-line for hyperthyroidism/Graves. Agranulocytosis and hepatotoxicity. Teratogenic in the 1st trimester (aplasia cutis) — use PTU then.
