- Mechanism of Action (MOA)
- Binds tubulin → inhibits microtubule polymerization → ↓ neutrophil chemotaxis and activation.
- Clinical Notes
- Acute gout flares and prophylaxis; also pericarditis and familial Mediterranean fever. Dose-limiting diarrhea; myopathy/neuropathy and toxicity with renal/hepatic impairment + CYP3A4/P-gp inhibitors.
