Drug Class: Topical Corticosteroid
Mechanism of Action (MOA): Anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic, vasoconstrictive actions; label states the anti-inflammatory mechanism is unclear.
Clinical Notes: Labeled for inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. Adverse effects include skin atrophy and striae; systemic absorption can cause reversible HPA-axis suppression, favored by potent steroids, large surface area, prolonged use and occlusion.
