- Blocks the CysLT1 leukotriene receptor → ↓ bronchoconstriction and inflammation.
- Black Box Warning
- Serious neuropsychiatric events (agitation, depression, suicidal thinking and behavior).
- Clinical Notes
- Add-on for asthma and exercise-induced bronchospasm; in allergic rhinitis, second-line only. Oral, once daily.
