Drug Class: Long-Acting β2 Agonist (LABA)
Mechanism of Action (MOA): Long-acting β2-adrenergic agonist → sustained bronchodilation.
Black Box Warning: Asthma-related death when used as monotherapy — in asthma, use only combined with an inhaled corticosteroid.
Clinical Notes: Always pair with an ICS in asthma; LABA monotherapy is acceptable in COPD. Not a rescue inhaler.
