Mechanism of Action (MOA): Blocks voltage-gated Na⁺ channels → ↓ glutamate release.
Black Box Warning: Serious rashes including Stevens-Johnson syndrome/TEN — titrate slowly.
Clinical Notes: Focal/generalized seizures and bipolar maintenance. Slow titration; valproate raises levels (↑ rash risk). Generally weight-neutral.
