- Inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake; also blocks muscarinic, H1, and α1 receptors.
- Black Box Warning
- Increased suicidality in patients <25.
- Clinical Notes
- Labeled for depression; used off-label for neuropathic pain, migraine prophylaxis, insomnia (sedative). Lethal in overdose (QRS widening, arrhythmia → sodium bicarbonate).
