- Irreversibly acetylates COX-1 → ↓ thromboxane A2 → impaired platelet aggregation for the platelet's life (~7–10 days).
- Clinical Notes
- ACS and secondary prevention. GI bleeding; Reye syndrome in children with viral illness; tinnitus in salicylate overdose.
